  • What is Tin Can Communities?

    Tin Can Communities is the easiest way to get Tin Can into the hands of your whole group together. You’ll get bulk pricing, hands-on support from our team as you roll out, and early access to community features that make it easy to grow and connect your group’s network. 

     

  • Is it only for schools?

    Not at all! Tin Can Communities is open to any group who wants to connect their kids. Schools, sports teams, camps, neighborhood groups – if you’ve got a crew, we’d love to help. Reach out at communities@tincan.kids and let’s chat.

  • How do I get started?

    Just fill out the form on the Communities page and we’ll get right back to you. We’d love to learn more about your group, walk you through your options, and help you figure out the best plan.

  • What’s the minimum order?

    You’ll need at least 50 Tin Cans to receive community pricing.

     

  • How much does it cost?

    Pricing tiers depend on your community size. Discounts start at $25 off the cost of the phone and get steeper the more you order. Reach out to communities@tincan.kids to discuss the tier that best fits your group’s size. Shipping, handling, and applicable sales tax are separate. Organizations with a valid tax exemption certificate are not subject to sales tax.

    Just a heads up, while calling other Tin Cans and 911 is always free, the Party Line Plan – which lets you call outside numbers – is $9.99/month.

  • Who buys and places the order?

    There are two ways to go about it:

    1. A community leader places one bulk order for the whole group and receives an invoice. Phones are shipped to a single address. 

    2. Each family places their own order using a custom bulk discount code.

  • Where do Tin Cans get shipped?

    That depends on how your group orders. If a community leader places a bulk order, everything ships to a single address (like a school or organizer’s home). If families order individually with a discount code, each order ships directly to that family.

  • When will our Tin Cans arrive?

    Shipping timelines depend on when you place the order. We will be sure to communicate a clear shipping timeline before you purchase. 

  • What if I want to return my Tin Can Communities purchase?

    If you purchased through a discount code, you can submit your return through our website within 45 days of receiving it. If you purchased through a single organizer, please reach out to communities@tincan.kids so we can aggregate all returns from that purchase within 45 days.

  • What’s coming next for Communities?

    We’re currently building a feature designed to make it even easier for your group to find and connect with each other. Tin Can Communities will be among the first to try it out - we can’t wait!
