My Tin Can won’t connect to my Wi-Fi, what should I do?

I don’t see any Wi-Fi networks

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the Tin Can app installed and confirm that your Wi-Fi network is up and running with your router powered on and broadcasting. Then fully close the Tin Can app, reopen it, and resume setup. If it still doesn’t work, try setting up the device from a different smartphone.

I see Wi-Fi networks, but not mine

  • If other networks appear but yours doesn’t, start the Wi-Fi setup again from the beginning and scroll through the full list of available networks. Make sure your router is turned on and that other devices can connect, then move your Tin Can closer to the router and try again.

It says Wi-Fi is connected, but it’s not working

  • This usually means the app just needs a quick reset, fully close the Tin Can app, then reopen it and resume setup.

It says my Wi-Fi password is incorrect

  • We recommend copying and pasting your Wi-Fi password directly to avoid typos.
  • Hot tip: if your Wi-Fi password is longer than 65 characters (impressive!), the app won’t register any characters beyond that limit. Shortening your password should do the trick.
