I have multiple devices - how do I set them up?
To set up multiple devices in the Tin Can app, follow the instructions for your specific situation:
- Adding an Additional Device
- Open the Tin Can app and ensure you are signed in with the correct email address.
- Tap "Add Tin Can" at the top of the app screen.
- Follow the standard setup steps to connect the device to your Wi-Fi.
Choose your setup type:
- Link to an existing line (Shared Number): Choose this if you want the new device to share a phone number, contact list, and voicemail with a device already on your account. This is ideal for a "house phone" setup where both devices ring at once. In this scenario, the phones won’t be able to call each other because they share a line.
- Give it its own number (Separate Line): Choose this if you want the new device to have a unique phone number and its own private contact list and voicemail. This requires a separate subscription if you are using the Party Line Plan.
